Parking and Access: Navigating the Celebration with Ease

Due to the wet conditions, the unpaved parking lot south of Oak Lake Park will be unavailable, and guests will be directed to the Pinnacle Bank Arena festival space. The paved lot northwest of Oak Lake is also closed, but those requiring ADA parking will be directed to spaces along Charleston Street. To ensure a smooth flow of traffic, North First Street will be closed from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. between Cornhusker Highway and Charleston Street, allowing guests to view the fireworks show from the portion of North First Street north of Oak Creek. Additionally, access to Sun Valley Boulevard from West "O" Street and Cornhusker Highway will be prohibited at 9:45 p.m.Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to avoid delays, as the repair work on the Sun Valley Boulevard bridge may cause additional traffic congestion. The recommended access routes are via North First and North 11th streets from Cornhusker Highway.

Dining Options: Indulge in a Diverse Culinary Experience

The revised food vendor list for the Uncle Sam Jam celebration offers a tantalizing array of options to satisfy every palate. From classic funnel cakes and kettle corn to Hawaiian shaved ice and mouthwatering barbecue, there's something to delight every taste bud.Attendees can also indulge in Italian beef sandwiches, nachos, cheesesteaks, hotdogs, burgers, and fried chicken, as well as loose meat sandwiches and onion chips. For those with a sweet tooth, nitro ice cream, Boba lemonade, and fruit smoothies are available.

Celebrating with Safety and Sustainability in Mind

Fireworks are prohibited in all city parks, and the use of any form of tobacco products, including vaping, is not allowed. Alcohol is also prohibited within the park.Attendees are encouraged to use the free StarTran shuttle service as a sustainable transportation option, with pick-up and drop-off locations at the Haymarket Garage, Gold's bus stop, and the County City Building complex. Paratransit service is available for those eligible, with reservations made through StarTran. To ensure a clean and well-maintained event, guests are asked to place recyclables and waste in the designated containers. Additionally, all park guests and their belongings are subject to inspection at the park entrance, with only coolers, clear bags, blankets, and lawn chairs permitted.
