Calling All Tailgating Chefs: Enter Our Tailgating Recipe Contest for a Chance to Shine!

Get ready, food enthusiasts! We're thrilled to announce our latest culinary competition – the Tailgating Recipe Contest. This exciting event will showcase the culinary talents of home cooks in the Dayton Daily News, Springfield News-Sun, and Journal-News circulation area, as we search for the most delectable and creative tailgating dishes.

Elevate Your Tailgating Experience with Your Signature Dish

Are you the master of the grill, the queen of the crockpot, or the wizard of the instant pot? If so, this is your chance to showcase your tailgating prowess and share your signature dish with the world. Whether it's a mouthwatering main course, a tantalizing appetizer, or a decadent dessert, we want to hear from you.

How to Enter the Tailgating Recipe Contest

To enter, simply email your recipe with exact measurements and instructions to our food and dining writer, Natalie Jones, at [email protected]. Be sure to include your first and last name, the city you reside in, and a brief description of how you came across this tailgating recipe and what makes it special to you. Additionally, provide your phone number and email address in case our team has any additional questions.

The Selection Process

Our team will review all the submissions and choose 10 of the most tantalizing tailgating recipes to be made by Cox employees. A panel of expert judges will then taste and evaluate these dishes, selecting the top 3-5 recipes as the winners.

The Prizes and Recognition

While the glory of having your recipe featured in our newspapers and on our websites is the ultimate prize, we're also excited to recognize our top winners. The first-, second-, and third-place winners will be contacted before the end of the day on August 28th, and their recipes will be published in our newspapers on September 7th.
